The University of Northern Iowa's Applied Engineering Building (AEB) will undergo an extensive modernization starting June 9.
There will be a groundbreaking ceremony at 1 p.m that day, which will include remarks from Governor Kim Reynolds, UNI President Mark A. Nook and other UNI leadership, alumni and industry leaders.
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The Gallagher Bluedorn at University of Northern Iowa has received a $1 million gift from the Friends of the Gallagher Bluedorn to put toward the theater’s $14.9 million expansion project.

UNI celebrated a generous donation by Doug and Ann Goschke that will lead to the construction of the The Doug and Ann Goschke Outdoor Practice Facility - In Memory of Junean Goschke on Tuesday. The modernized field will include an oversized turf field, lights and fencing and is part of more than $4 million in investments in UNI football that are currently in progress and are scheduled to be complete in the fall of 2021.
UNI Athletics plans to construct a new football meeting room in the northeast corner of the UNI-Dome with construction slated to begin in winter 2020 and completed in the fall of 2021.
The gift from David and Karen Takes will help fund support for UNIBusiness students and the college's mascot program, as well as future capital projects.
