For 79-year-old Marva Eck, taking classes was more of a hobby — she never really thought that one day it could result in a degree — but that's exactly what happened this past summer as Eck took her last classes to complete a Bachelor of Liberal Studies degree.
Cedar Falls - “Day Zero” debuts at 7:30 p.m. on April 21, and runs through April 23, at the University of Northern Iowa's Interpreters Theatre, located in Lang Hall Room 040.

For nearly 20 years, Nikki has been an advocate, friend and mentor for her students as an instructor of communication studies, and as director of internships for the Department of Communication and Media. “My focus has always been on students,” she said. “I believe we should make all decisions based on what is good for them, which doesn't mean popular or easy, but what will help them in the long run.”
