The University of Northern Iowa's Master of Accounting (MAcc) program is on an exciting growth trajectory, with the David W. Wilson College of Business forging a significant partnership with regional accounting firm Hogan-Hansen. This collaboration marks a pivotal moment as it appoints Amy Igou as the inaugural Hogan-Hansen Master of Accounting Director.
In the ever-evolving landscape of business, one fundamental aspect has remained constant: the importance of ethical decision-making. For nearly two decades, the University of Northern Iowa's College of Business has championed ethics for future business leaders, thanks to the establishment of the David W. Wilson Chair in Ethics. This gift from UNI alum David W. Wilson has not only enriched the academic environment but has also had a profound impact on the way students and faculty approach ethics in the world of business.
Amy Igou remembers the first time she worked on a personal computer. She was in high school, and back then, computers looked like packing boxes, let alone fit into your pocket like they do today. She took a computer programming course and was hooked. Soon enough, she helped her parents keep track of farm records on their own computer.
