Three student-owned businesses at the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center (JPEC) won the regional Pappajohn Student Venture Competition and will advance to a final pitch with the hope of earning seed money.
A new partnership between the University of Northern Iowa, Youngstown State University and the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining will leverage $10 million in first-year funding to increase the number of small-to-midsize enterprises using advanced technologies, bolster critical areas of the defense manufacturing supply chain and create jobs.
“Catwalk 30 Sustain,” a spring fashion show to showcase the designs of the students in the University of Northern Iowa textiles and apparel program, will be held on the UNI campus at Lang Hall on April 23 at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. The show is open to the public and free of charge.
WIND CAVE NATIONAL PARK, SD – The University of Northern Iowa’s Josh Sebree, an Associate Professor with the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry will be hosting a program Tuesday, April 19, at 3 p.m. CDT on the Wind Cave National Park’s Facebook page in celebration of National Park Week.
Cedar Falls - “Day Zero” debuts at 7:30 p.m. on April 21, and runs through April 23, at the University of Northern Iowa's Interpreters Theatre, located in Lang Hall Room 040.
