De-Stress Days

Stressed with finals? Come check out the De-Stress Days activities in Maucker Union and Rod Library! May 1-5 Rod Library and Maucker Union will be holding activities to help you take a break from studying and to de-stress.  To begin the week, during May 1-3 Student Wellness Services will have de-stress day activities in Mauck Union including yoga, rock painting, slime, and lemonade! To continue destressing, May 3-5 Rod Library will have activities including Legos, a graffiti wall, coloring pages, and P.E.T.P.A.L.S! Mary Ann Bolton Undergraduate Research Award 2023

The Mary Ann Bolton Undergraduate Research Award recognizes and celebrates students who have completed undergraduate research. Those who have conducted research using library materials and are approved by a UNI faculty member or mentor can qualify. Full time students from any major must have completed a credit-bearing course or faculty mentored project. Projects must also be original work completed no earlier than spring of 2021.

Textbook Equity Mini-Grant Program to save UNI students $64,000 a year

UNI announced the winners of its Mini-Grant Program, which will create five free, openly-licensed textbooks, saving UNI students more than $64,000 a year.

Public Book and Media Sale

Help Rod Library make room for exciting new projects – and go home with some great reading and listening! Rod Library is having a huge book and music sale just in time for your holiday shopping. On Saturday, December 3 from noon to 4:00 pm visit the Schindler lobby to choose from a wide assortment of children’s and young adult books, plus hundreds of LP records and a few CDs and music scores. There will be a pre-sale on Friday, December 2 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm for local K-12 educators.

Tales of the Bulgarian Rose

​ "Tales of the Bulgarian Rose," a photojournalistic journey into Bulgaria's rose industry, is now on display at Rod Library until December 19. A reception will be held on November 7, 5:30 pm - 7 pm, with artists' comments and light refreshments. Undertaken in 1997 by UNI instructor Rick Truax and UNI professor Anelia Dimitrova, this documentary project chronicles Bulgaria's transition to democracy through the lives of those that worked in the country's iconic rose industry.
