UNI graduate and former John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center resident Russel Karim has made it big time — on the Times Square jumbotron in New York City.
The University of Northern Iowa will present Ambassador John R. Dinger with an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree during the spring commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 14, 2022.
Megan Stull is the recipient of the 2021 Alumni Service Award. Stull served on the UNI Alumni Board of Directors for a decade, acting as both vice chair and chair of the board. The Alumni Service Award recognizes UNI alumni who have shown long and continuous service to the university and their community. Stull currently serves as the administrative assistant to UNI Vice President of University Advancement Jim Jermier.
UNI alum Veena Kallambettu, was the sole winner of the 2021 Louis M. DiCarlo Award for the development of clinical programs to improve speech outcomes in patients with head and neck cancer.
A UNI finance and marketing alum who co-founded the first Black-owned coffee business with national distribution has been named a 2022 Influential Leader by the world’s largest business education alliance.
