Jeremy Miner, grant writing expert, will speak from 1 to 3 p.m., Thursday, June 6, in 301 LIB. In addition to developing and administering proposals to public and private grant-makers, Miner has served as a reviewer for federal and state government grant programs, helped private foundations streamline their grant application guidelines, and presented grant-seeking workshops nationally and internationally. OSHA and the National Weather Service will team up Friday, May 31, to encourage employers and employees to recognize the warning signs for heat illness. Every year, there are dozens of preventable deaths and thousands more become ill from extreme heat or humid working conditions.
