This recorded sessions will provide information on the health, dental and vision benefits as a part of your complete benefits package. Open call for artwork by survivors and supporters to bring awareness to and prevent sexual assault on our campus. More information and submission details can be found on the OCEM webpage. The submission deadline is Monday, October 9. It is open for all UNI students, staff, faculty, alumni and Cedar Valley community members to participate.
Beginning September 25 U.S. households can order four rapid COVID-19 test kits. We ask that when possible, you use the free options for test kits as the kits are not charged to our self-insured health plans (which impacts employee premiums). Please visit COVID.gov for more information on ordering, as well as how to tell if your COVID-19 tests' expiration dates have been extended.
All benefit eligible faculty and staff are eligible for one free flu vaccination each year. The next flu shot clinic will take place on Wednesday, November 1, from 7:30 - 9:30 a.m. Visit the MercyOne webpage to register for this flu vaccination clinic. Calling all aspiring nurses. Are you passionate about health care and eager to make a difference in people’s lives? A nursing social will take place Tuesday, October 10 in the Maucker Union Ballroom A from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. This is your chance to get all your questions answered and embark on a rewarding career in nursing. Learn more about UNI’s new Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Nancy Kertz, PhD, FNPBC, while meeting fellow health-focused students. Pizza and cookies will be provided.
A 5K Run/Walk will take place during University of Northern Iowa Homecoming weekend starting at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2023. Please register in advance by October 8th to guarantee yourself a short sleeve t-shirt. You can also register after October 8 and on the day of the race, but a t-shirt will not be guaranteed. This year's course will start and end at the Campanile on the UNI campus. If you have any questions about the race or want to know more, feel free to email the Panther Pacers Running Club.
Academic Success Workshop #6 will review tips to reduce test anxiety and how to utilize various test taking strategies to help reach your academic potential.
