Own Your Benefits: Understanding Retirement Health Care Options

Human Resource Services will host an informational session on health care options in retirement. All faculty and staff are welcome to attend. The hour-long session will be presented by Wellmark, Tuesday, September 17 at noon in Gilchrist 009. Please register in advance.

New Name, Same Mission

The Office of Compliance and Equity Management is now the Office of Civil Rights Compliance (OCRC). OCRC serves many roles to help students, faculty and staff. OCRC is located in Gilchrist 117 and at civilrights@uni.edu

Adult Group Piano Classes start in September

Have you ever wished that you took piano lessons? The UNI Community Music School is offering Piano for Adults classes starting Friday, September 13, for adults with some and no experience. Classes take place at UNI. You can register online at https://music.uni.edu/cms/group-piano-classes-adults.

Piano Fun for Kids

It’s a great time to learn piano.  Students ages 4-7 are invited to join a fun class for kids interested in learning more about music and piano.  Music for Little Mozarts classes starting Tuesday, September 3.  Learn more and register at https://music.uni.edu/cms/music-little-mozarts.

UNI Jazz Faculty to perform in Seerley Park, Sunday August 25

CEDAR FALLS—Esteemed UNI Jazz faculty and nationally recognized veteran artists will bring six hours of jazz to Seerley Park on Sunday, August 25, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Three food trucks will supply a rich choice of foods, and local vendors will offer additional baked goods, fresh-squeezed lemonade and hand-made products. The kid-friendly event will also offer chalk art organized by the Hearst Center. People are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and chairs. Financial Wellness: Wise Use of Credit

Human Resource Services will host an informational session on how to use your credit wisely by knowing what it is and why it is important.  You can also gain an extensive knowledge of credit terms, types of loans and details that can affect the overall health of your credit report. This session will be presented by Regions on Tuesday, September 3 at noon, via Zoom. Please register in advance.
