Own Your Benefits: 2025 Annual Open Enrollment is Coming Up

The 2025 Annual Benefits Open Enrollment period will run from Friday, November 1 through Saturday, November 30, 2024. Watch for an upcoming email announcement and an informational mailing that will be sent to your home address later this month. We will be utilizing UNI Works to make all changes, please plan accordingly so you can navigate the new system.

My Well-being: Confidential Biometric Screening

Human Resource Services will host a confidential biometric screening on Friday, October 25 from 7 to 9 a.m. in Gilchrist 009. All benefit eligible employees may participate in one free biometric screening per academic year. For more information, and to register, visit the confidential biometric screening webpage.

Faculty and staff headshots - October 28

University Relations will be holding another headshot day for faculty and staff on Monday, October 28. Time slots are available from 9 a.m. to noon and from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Headshots are taken in the University Relations photo studio, 105 E. Bartlett. Please sign up in advance to reserve your spot. Once photos are ready, they will be housed in Photoshelter and can be accessed via CatID log-in.

GOLD & Bold Award Ceremony

The UNI Alumni Association recognizes  Dylan Keller, Tatiana Rice, and Jamal White as the 2024 GOLD & Bold Award recipients. Students, faculty, staff, and alumni are invited to hear their TED Talk-style presentations on Thursday, November 14. Register now. Read more about each of their bios and their accomplishments here

Homecoming Volunteers Needed

Homecoming at UNI is just around the corner, and we’re excited for another incredible celebration of Panther pride! We’re pulling out all the stops with fun events, activities and traditions that will bring together students, alumni and our community. International Education Week Set to Kick Off, November 18-22nd!

The Office of International Engagement is planning several events to celebrate International Education Week (IEW) at UNI from November 18 - 22. Take this opportunity to showcase your efforts, get involved and learn more about how UNI is crafting Global Citizens in the heart of Iowa. Clothesline Project

Help raise awareness for relationship violence by decorating t-shirts for the Clothesline Project in Maucker Union on October 21 and 23 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. All shirts decorated will be put on display in Sabin Hall on Friday, October 25 for bearing witness from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. 

Outgoing Subawards & Subcontracts - RSP Training Series - Tues, Oct. 15 | 10-11 am

Part of the RSP Training Series, this Zoom session focuses on an overview of subawards and subcontracts, their elements and when to utilize a subaward versus a subcontract (pre-award) and once you’ve received the prime award (post-award) as well as roles & responsibilities, subaward invoice approval, subrecipient monitoring and subaward amendments for UNI investigators. Please register in advance.
