McElroy Fellowship

McElroy Fellowship candidates must intend to pursue a Ph.D. and be a December 2023 or May 2024 graduate with a liberal arts degree. Awardees will receive $12,000 per year for three years to help defray education costs. In addition to an above-average academic record, students will be evaluated on their character, leadership and general interests. Potential applicants should contact Bryce Kanago  to express interest and discuss eligibility. The UNI application deadline is Monday, January 31, 2024.

Holiday Cookies from UNI

Share your favorite UNI cookies with family and friends this holiday season. The cookies are now available for purchase at Biscotti's and Maucker Union Food Court. Purchase frozen cookie dough pucks or shaped sugar cookie cut-outs and frosting, made on campus at Fresh Beginnings. These are available through the end of the semester while supplies last.

Academic Success Workshop #13 : Class Presentations

This week, on Tuesday, November 28 and Wednesday, November 29 at 4:00 p.m. in Rod 272 you can learn the key components of creating a class presentation. We will review talking points, presentation tools and slideshow formatting. Attendance will enter you into a prize drawing. Next IAF Application Deadline is Thursday, December 7

Completed IAF applications are due by 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 7 (if applying for travel funds, this deadline is for research applications or any trips occurring between January 1 and February 28). The Intercollegiate Academics Fund (IAF) is a yearly allocation of Student Activity Fee monies that exists to promote and support intercollegiate academic experiences for University of Northern Iowa students. Join us for De-stress days on December 4, 5 and 6

Student Wellness Services and other campus partners will be hosting De-Stress Days on December 4, 5 and 6th between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the Maucker Union Ballrooms, Lobby and Upper Level Plaza. Stop by to enjoy the following stress relieving activities: Coloring, Puzzles Yoga, Legos, Inspirational rocks, Hot chocolate, Dogs provided by Pet Pals and Cedar Bend Humane Society and The Labyrinth (a walking meditation that can be used to experience peace and relaxation).
