Join Study Abroad for a couple of student panels coming up. The students studied abroad for the Fall 2022 semester and were recipients of the Robert Eller Scholarship for Study Abroad. Attend one or both question and answer panels to hear more about their experiences abroad and how this scholarship helped to make it happen. Light refreshments will be served. Military and Veteran Student Services (MVSS) is providing the final Green Zone Training opportunity Thursday, April 20 from 1 - 2 p.m. Learn about the UNI Veteran and military students and how you can be more aware of their unique transition issues and how to better assist in their academic and personal success. All faculty and staff are welcome to attend. The hour-long session will be presented by the MVSS coordinator and select Veteran and military students. Please register in advance .
This training is part of the RSP Training Series. The Zoom session focuses on an overview of subawards and subcontracts – their elements and when to utilize a subaward versus a subcontract (pre-award) and once you’ve received the prime award (post-award) – roles & responsibilities, subaward invoice approval, subrecipient monitoring and subaward amendments. Four revised UNI policies were recently approved. They are: 4.10 "Employee Relocation Expenses", 4.77 "International Travel Safety Policy", 10.04 "Examination of Public Records" and 13.15 "Campus Accessibility & Accommodations of Disabilities". The policies can be found on the UNI policies webpage.
Duo accounts that have not used a phone call or SMS passcodes since the first of the year will have those methods removed from their Duo account later this week. Duo Push via the Duo mobile app remains the primary and best way for users to interact with UNI's multi-factor authentication solution. Those that are actively using phone calls or SMS for authentication may continue to do so for now.
Employees are invited to attend a free in person workshop series on managing money. Brett Olsen, Associate Professor of Finance, will facilitate this series on Thursday's in April (April 6, 13, 20, 27) from 2 to 3 p.m. in Gilchrist 007. Advanced registration is required.
