Years ago, Dr. Kelli Snyder sat at an interprofessional education ad hoc committee meeting at Allen College. Little did she know that casually talking about the free clinic run by Allen faculty would flourish into one of the most eye-opening experiences for UNI athletic training graduate students. On Saturday, December 3 from noon to 4:00 pm visit the Schindler lobby to choose from a wide assortment of children’s and young adult books, plus hundreds of LP records and a few CDs and music scores. There will be a pre-sale on Friday, December 2 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm for local K-12 educators.

Two UNI alums receive the Yager Exemplary Teaching Recognition Award

Two Iowa teachers earned recognition for their service to the field when they were recently awarded the University of Northern Iowa Dr. Robert E. and Phyllis M. Yager Exemplary Teaching Recognition Award.

The award is designed to highlight UNI graduates who have gone on to excellence as K-12 teachers in Iowa, and identify a UNI faculty member’s contribution to their success.
