Electronic personal transportation devices

Our campus community (students, employees, and guests) should be aware that electronic personal transportation devices such as scooters, ebikes, or hoverboards are not allowed in university buildings and should be operated in a reasonable manner on university property.

The Way Up Conference will take place Thursday and Friday, November 2 and 3, in Des Moines, at the Hilton Downtown Conference Center. My Well-being: Final Flu Shot Clinic

All benefit eligible faculty and staff are eligible for one free flu vaccination each year. The final flu shot clinic is Wednesday, November 1 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in Gilchrist 009. No appointment is necessary, but prior registration is suggested. For additional information on clinic dates and times visit our flu shot webpage.

An Evolution of Planispheric Celestial Volvelles

Planispheric Celestial Volvelles, Often called "sky wheels" or "star wheels," are medium unique to learning about the night sky. This collection includes examples from the late nineteenth century to present. Thomas Hockey shares his personal collection and how they appear in the marketplace. This will be outside of room 210 in Rod Library until April 2024.
