After a successful 30-year career in finance, University of Norther Iowa alum Jeff Quint ('85) felt pulled to follow his true passion and in 2005 opened Cedar Ridge Distillery in Swisher, Iowa, the first distillery to open in the state since prohibition. Cedar Ridge Distillery has since become the top bourbon maker in the state, producing more than 200 barrels a month.

For the third time in four years, a team from UNI has won the fall regional competition, proof positive of the high-quality UNI accounting program that prepares students for their career challenges
For Chris Yuska (Accounting, ’01) and Kevin Zaugg (Accounting, ’96), giving to UNI Accounting is a passion. Over the years, they’ve contributed money to various Ernst and Young scholarships in order to help accounting students obtain their degrees and find success in the accounting profession.
